Jordan pivoted from education to People Ops in tech. During Week One, Jordan identified her leading key results and crafted an elevator pitch that she practiced every week for 10 weeks.

Week 2: Career Assets Write your Networking Blurb, Resume, LinkedIn

Carla pivoted from teaching to customer success in tech. During Week Two, Carla used her elevator pitch and key results to craft a networking blurb that lead to networking calls with people in tech who could refer her.

Week 3: Networking Calls Learn how to Conduct Successful Networking Calls

Natalie became Chief of Staff at Lattice. During Week Three, Natalie and all of us in the cohort mastered how to conduct networking calls that convert to job interviews by leading with elevator pitch + key results.

Week 4: Master Phone screen interviews

Leonda went from 10+ years of teaching to Client Success. During Week Four, Leonda and all of us in the cohort mastered how to ace phone screen interviews, and answer industry-standard questions like, "Why are you interested in this role?"

Week 5: Interview Stories & Key Results

Lonny went from a 1 year career pause and 6+ months of job search stress to Director of Sales Operations in 10 weeks. During Week Five, Lonny and all of us in the cohort mastered telling stories in interviews and building relationships. We do this by leading interview stories with Key Results.

Week 6: Mock Interviews, Performance Interviews & Take Homes

Akua pivoted from Research Assistant to Operations Associate in tech. During Week Six, Akua and all of us in the cohort learned how to structure performance interviews, presentations, and take homes.

Week 7: Final Round Interview & Introduction to Negotiation

Mayali went from zero interviews in tech to final rounds with several companies. During Week seven, Mayali and all of us in the cohort mastered how to prepare for end stage interviews and how to begin negotiations.

Week 8: Negotiation & Closing the Offer

Mary Rose went from laid off in 2020, to increasing her salary by 45.8% and joined one of the most prestigious organizations in the world. During Week eight, Mary Rose and all of us in the cohort discussed salary negotiation, and strategies to deal with asking for money anxiety.

FAQ: Is New Job Cohort right for me?

YES! Our community is a healthy blend of experience levels, but most of our community is senior-manager to director level and leadership. We have specific tactics for director level and up (ie, 30-day plan templates and conversation tactics to help you stand out).
